Hi! I'm Jimin. This site is inspired by the new way I cook after my husband and I had a baby.  Now that I'm cooking for three I find it more difficult to cook the way I used to. It's easy to get into cooking ruts once you become a parent (or even if you're not!). Inspiration was hard to come by, let alone time, and my mama brain couldn't remember anything I made in the past, so here we are. A place to write and share recipes that will hopefully be a place where you can also find some food inspiration whether you have kids or not.

By nature we eat healthy food, but never shy away from indulging in food that is fatty, sweet and/or salty. With a toddler in the house and not wanting to cook two separate dishes at every meal, I try to come up with one recipe that will feed everyone or I add small modifications to keep the little one in mind. We love special meals around here, especially on the weekends when we have more time to cook, and I can't live without dessert and sweets. Sour Patch Kids will always reign as my favorite food on the planet. So while the goal of this site is to provide healthy, delicious recipes for the whole family, expect to find a bit of everything. Everything in moderation, right?

After college, I got my pastry degree from the French Culinary Institute (now the International Culinary Center) and worked as a Pastry Chef and Chocolatier. I still make chocolate and confections, just not as much after my daughter was born. I am also a calligrapher, which I still dabble in from time to time. I don't have formal culinary training, but learned to cook from my mom and aunts and all the amazing Chefs I've worked with over the years. I am a total amateur when it comes to photography, but hoping this site will exercise that hobby.

Thank you for stopping by and please reach out with questions and comments!

p.s. You can mostly find me on Instagram. Twitter is not really my thing and neither is Facebook, but you can look for me there, too - just a less interesting version. Oh...and I really love Pinterest
